Big League: Wrapup

After weeks of cancellations and delays, the Big League finally completed it’s shoot tonight in an exhibition style match between Mayhem Brothers & Metro Melb (mix).

The intention of this production was to provide a proof of concept of an idea by Michael Woods. The long term goal for Big League will be to expose competitive gaming to the public and build on bringing potential sponsors into the sport by sponsoring teams competing in Big League. Although the idea is well thought out, all eyes are now on Woods again to put together an entertaining show to both the public and competitive audience with the captured footage.

Big League: CS1.6 Beta Series

The CS1.6 Beta Series will be the first of Big League’s seasonal tournaments filmed live at RMIT’s TV Studio.

The mission of Big League is simple, to raise the profile of competitive video gaming in Australia. To do this, Big League are adopting a similar model to Gamerthon by creating a spectator friendly electronic sports (e-sports) environment. Though Big League differs in that it extends the time frame from what would have been 1 week of production, to many months - this is to make a more streamlined & enjoyable production, giving room for growth & expansion.
